Very cool idea and a lot of fun, but too easy. Was able to beat it with a build that used no damage items :P

Finally kicked the bucket on a very strong archery run. Probably could've continued with more emerald rings but alas I didn't get them.

Finally got a pickaxe build. Not much to say

Got a cursed blade build up and running. really wish I'd had an opportunity to move it so it wasn't straight in the middle but oh well. Got a cursed shiv on floor 4 or 5 which let me generate all the curses I wanted. Got a ninja armor before I got to the king fight, so I absolutely smoked him. Fun, but not much actual scaling. Just super high raw damage

Herb does nothing besides activating items that have destroyed nearby abilities/used consumable abilities. (however I had two of those here, the seasonings obviously give the healing for using consumables, and the spice bowl gives 3 rage for using consumables).

Crazy poison/healer run, get hard walled by first mandatory enemy set on level 16. 8 seasonings + sandwich + old log is 120 healing per energy, and with a max hp of 237 the build can tank a ton of damage. Poison damage is just inherent scaling, but unfortunately not fast enough for this fight. w/ forges I was inflicting 16 poison per arrow. I somehow got 2 hoodies pretty early, which let me scale my hp. Lot of fun, but ended up w/ really long battles.

The item has all modifiers multiplied by 0.5x, and it seems that includes it's own damage buff on empty spaces.

I knew about that. still once you're on a boss floor if you're unable to win no matter how many times you reload nothing will change since the game autosaves on entry to the floor and you have no way of obtaining new items

Pretty standard mage/structure build. Archangel armor lets your shields scale over time (assuming you don't get flamed to death like I did on floor 16). Wizard cap + ancient tome + wizard's robe gives you 8 mana regen a turn. Gemstone heart + cleansing rag to help stay alive vs. poison and damage that overwhelms your shields on the first turn before scaling kicks in. Ring of doom to scale the wand damage, I had fun trying to figure out the optimal amount of buffing to do with the ring of doom (think it ended up being 11 times on turn 1). Poison snake + flame enemy was ultimately the builds undoing, as the flames scale out of control and poison is unblockable. Got to floor 16 though so still pretty happy with the build.

The update definitely made the game much harder. Haven't tried archer/cleaver builds yet since it dropped, this build was just what I ended up getting up and running today.

Interesting tanky warrior mage build. Unfortunately lost vs. queen bee due to poison.

W/ ring of doom & first wand you can pick whether you want regen or extra damage for the fight, blade summoner lets you get ethereal blade, and ethereal wand gets you 4 energy letting you attack twice. 2 guarding bands lets you gain haste vs solo enemies and get crazy amounts of haste vs swarms.
